Canadian Dental Care Plan dentist in Windsor
Reminder: CDCP eligibility must be renewed annually. Patients should ensure they remain eligible by filing their taxes each year and reapplying if required.

At Central Dental, we are committed to providing the best possible dental care to all our patients. We are thrilled to announce that we are now accepting the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), a new initiative aimed at making dental care more affordable for eligible Canadians.
What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?
The CDCP is a federal program designed to help make the cost of dental care more affordable.
To qualify, you must:
- Be a Canadian resident
- Have no access to private dental insurance
- Have filed your 2024 tax return
- Have a family net income under $90,000
The program is expanding to cover:
- Seniors aged 65 and over
- Children under 18
- Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate
- Eligible adults aged 18 to 64 can now apply, with applications opening in phases throughout May 2025.
Application Dates for Adults 18–64:
- May 1 – Ages 55–64
- May 15 – Ages 18–34
- May 29 – Ages 35–54
Benefits begin as early as June 1, 2025.
How Does CDCP Work at Our Clinic?
As a participating provider, Central Dental will:
- Bill Sun Life, the CDCP’s administrator, directly for eligible services.
- Ensure that you do not need to pay the full cost of covered services upfront.
- Provide you with detailed information about any additional charges that may apply, ensuring transparency and clarity.
