THE CASE:
This patient came to us with a molar that had a large, aging amalgam filling. Over time, the filling had become defective—allowing small fractures and wear to develop in the surrounding tooth structure. They weren’t in pain, but the tooth felt unstable and weakened.
To prevent further breakdown and restore both appearance and function, we recommended a Zirconia crown. This would fully protect the compromised tooth while providing a clean, natural look.
